Ok guys here it goes it's a long one .
Jelly was rescued 2017 after being abandoned while super sick with neuropathy. I found him and after winnipeg humane society said they were going to euthanize him I said no and assumed responsibility.
This very page saved me and him. We went through hi and lows many PJ parties testing the curve to finally reach remission.
Fast forward now he suddenly gets sick.. At a awful time in my life personally (never a good time to get sick) well after scrapping funds I got him to vet to be diagnosed with pancreatitis. He was sent home with meds and a plan.....he worsened and ended up in emergency in a Edmonton animal hospital.

Well needless to say that didn't go well and after iv fluids antibiotic and the worst experience with a vet and assistant. I ended up leaving without proper care or follow up instruction

Let me be clear for no judgments to happen.. I left because of mistreatment of my 15 year old senior cat. They were man handling him unnecessarily rough and when I pleaded with them if they couldn't handle him let me... The situation worsened to point I was shaken up angry and felt I had to record interaction it was awful I wouldn't wish any pet be handled that way nor any person be treated with such disservice and disrespect.

Jelly is not an aggressive cat and today he was and extremely mistreated/handled I was very concerned for his ability to calm down and be stress free enough to eat in that environment and I couldn't trust to leave him there. After a heated tension filled exit I removed my cats IV and walked out. I had to fight for meds I previously paid for from another vet and left disheartened and with ZERO INSTRUCTION OR FOLLOW UP CARE.

I have no resources now to take him anywhere else nor do I feel I know a vet I trust here( input here helpful too)

Please help
He's home hiding but not growling or hissing like he was at vet

Ate tiny bit kibble I know terrible but he's kibble feen and figured if none of the soft I offered he seriously wouldn't try I decided better something then nothing...

Now what we need resources for more vetting if needed in Edmonton Alberta and trusted vetted

Second what kind of foods do I feed him they said my fancy feast particularly fish caused pancreatitis and that diabetes doesn't matter now rather the pancreatitis...so what is our food options now and what does that mean for sugars and remission?

Please please advice needed
Meds sent home were
Famotidine 20 mg/ml for 7 days

Buprenorphinne 0.8 mg/ml 4 days sublingual

Rebound supplement 24 ml 3 doses evry 8 hours

Any advice routine and food suggestions needed and appreciated

I have a very finicky eater and usually resort to fortiflora. Sigh With all of Jelly's issues I'm no where near qualified to suggest anything else. I'm adding Jelly to my prayers. I wish I knew more to help.:(
