We lost our beloved Ozy yesterday. His many diseases, especially the IBD became too much for his body to handle. He is dearly missed by all the members of our household.

I want to thank Feline Diabetes for the support and help I got. I especially want to thank Julie, Marje, Sienne, Mariko, Suzanne, Wendy, Sandy and Carl but there were many others of you who also helped.

I am so sorry that it was time for Ozy to take his leave. There is no doubt that he was cherished and returned your devotion in kind.

Fly free Ozy and land softly. There are many of our dearly loved kitties at the Bridge who will greet you and keep you safe until you are reunited with the one you love best.

you already know that i'm sending you a bucket of love and wishing you peace as you adjust to a different life. he will always be a part of you. i'm so glad i got to meet the King of Kings. Ozy was majestic.

My heart breaks for you both. I know how very, very devoted you have been to Ozy and how hard you worked to regulate his diabetes and address his health issues. It was so important that, being the fantastic CGs you both are, you recognized when he was ready and you set him free with love.

I am heartbroken for you. I haven't been around much lately, and just saw this moments ago. Ozy will always hold a special place in my heart. I was privileged to attend his very first PJ party just over a year ago.
Sending healing thoughts to you and John tonight, and pray that you can find peace in knowing that you both were a blessing to Ozy.

I've always found comfort and peace in music, and "Blackbird" by Alter Bridge has helped me deal with loss more than once...

Dear Donaleen,
I am so very sorry to read this.
You worked so hard to help Ozzy.
You have been such a decicated caregiver to him.
Ozzy's soul will cherish that forever.
I will be thinking of Ozzy, and sending prayers to you and John.
