Here's the last update on 6/8: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=45038

The morning of 6/9 I ended up very ill and had to go to the hospital for an extended stay. From there that left our family having to leave a lot of faith with our Vet and what Munchkin would allow my husband to do. Which resulted in feeding her and giving her her insulin shot. Beyond that she wasn't having it. So a very long story short we had to rely on a little blind faith and visual monitoring. During the next few days Munchkin had 3 more hypo episodes before it was decided that we should test run taking her off the insulin. 18 days later, with consistent readings (once I got back home) daily between 55-90 the vet decided her diabetes is in remission, the food change seems to have been enough for her. It's been 9 more days since and she is still doing well. (Now I just pray daily we'll continue this route)

I really wanted to thank everyone that helped me on the 8th & before. Laurie & MrTinkles, Marje, Mike & Gracie, Michelle & Mannie--Everyone! Sincerely, Thank You!

I haven't had a chance to update her ss. It's all in a notebook I have been able to keep. (We closed on our first home 2 weeks ago) But 10 mins ago she was at 95.
I hope to be here more, still learning and offering support once we have internet again and our home is back up and running.

I hope everyone is doing well and the fur babies are getting lots of blue and green numbers!

Congrats on Munchkin being OTJ!!

It also sounds like you've had a heck of a few weeks. I hope you're feeling better and enjoying your new home.
