Since first noticing his symptoms and taking him to the vet asap, my 10 year old cat Jack was put on Caninsulin. After only a couple of weeks of treatment plus low carb food (Friskies/FF Pate), he has now been off the juice for 3 weeks! He is still having neuropathy issues and he is getting Zobaline daily. I'm hoping that will go away too in time.

Congratulations to you and Jack! That is wonderful news!

I'm sure the neuropathy will resolve with a little time.

Congrats to both you and Jack! :)

The neuropathy will likely improve with time. Squeak had moderate/serious neuropathy (not quite walking on her hocks, but very close) when we started out on insulin back in January. She went OTJ within about 3 weeks and has been in good numbers since (anti-jinx). We actually noticed over the weekend that she's back to walking on her toes - a far cry from the cat that could barely walk 5 steps without having to rest only a few months ago! She's still a little slow on the stairs, but that's about it. This is just our experience, of course, but here's hoping that Jack takes a similar path. I should also mention, we didn't supplement methyl-B12 with Squeak, so perhaps improvements will be a little quicker since you're using it.
