Davidson is getting closer to being OTJ and I have seen some SS and posting relating to the OTJ TRIAL...........Can someone explain how that works and what I should be doing as I want to be prepared in advance. Perhaps there is a thread on this that I missed in my search that you can direct me to.

Thanks in advance as hoping Davidson will be there in 2-3 weeks.

There's no post that you missed. You'll want to keep reducing the dose (0.5, 0.25, and then 0.1u). When a cat is ready, we post the instructions. Basically, you test at your usual AMPS and PMPS times for 2 weeks. If the numbers continue to be green, no worries. If you get a number outside of the normal range (i.e., over 120), give some food and re-test in a few hours. (The food should stimulate the pancreas to produce it's own insulin and bring the numbers down.) You also want to be feeding multiple, small meals so you don't overwhelm Davidson's pancreas.

That's pretty much it.

Thanks Sienne.........Both H&D are on 4-5 food shifts per day and funny enough they are eating much less then they should be. I take the number of cans out for the day each morning and they seem to always have 1 can left (according to their weight) which is good..........both weight is good for each cat, both very active, always up and not sleeping all day long and healthy. Not drinking too much water as they get it from the wet food, so assume they are just not that hungry compared to the dry food they used to get. They don't like to eat alone, want me to watch them...........big baby's!!! So, guess I will wait until the time comes and go from there.............
