+8 - 28g Evo 95% C&T & water; added 14g to +6.5 meal

+1.5 - 22g Evo 95% C&T & water
+3.5 - in cubby hole, not coming out for food
+9.5 - 20g Evo 95% C&T & water, ate 3g, saving rest
+10 - ate remainder of +9.5 meal
+11 - 16g Evo 95% C&T

WCR: All is well, so far. (anti-jinx) This is Day 2 of the OTJ Trial period. She's looking good.

Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and prayers to whoever needs them.​

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone, including Blackie, to have great #s... For everyone, including Blackie, to be permanently OTJ. ​

She hasn't had any insulin since 2 evenings ago. That's over 40 hours as I type this (currently 10:41 a.m. CST). I'm a bit surprised that her #s have dropped.

Looking good Blackie! Congrats Angela. Remember that one of the parts of the OTJ trial is for the bean to learn to test less. If she's green at preshot, put away the meter. After so many years, that won't be easy.

Wendy, that is oh so true. LOL I remember being a test-a-holic when we first joined. Then, I eased up on the constant testing... Then went back to it. I've been see-sawing the testing over these years. It's going to be hard to break a habit. Speaking of habits, I actually found myself going to the fridge for the insulin last night. I caught myself after I had opened the door, and had bent down to open the drawer that I keep the insulin in when I realized what I was doing. LOL I quickly collected myself, and said under my breath, "What am I doing...? She doesn't get insulin anymore." (anti-jinx) Yep, giving shots, and the testing is going to be hard habits to break. LOL On the upside... I've reset my alarm to go off at 5:50 instead of 5:30. I still get up before 4:00 a.m. to feed her, though. That'll never change as I don't want to ruin a wonderful thing.
