OMG!!!! Camille, MJ, and Carolyn -- THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! That is one great video! I'll cherish it forever! You are such wonderful people -- all of you here at LL and FDMB! Thanks to everyone who has stopped by the party so far, too! Your support has made this possible!

I quite honestly can't believe what a great board this is. To have found this board, and "cured" my baby boy is more than I could ever have hoped! Diet-controlled -- I didn't even know that was possible when I heard the word "diabetes!" Thank you also to Dr. Rand, Dr. Roomp, Dr. Lisa, and all the other vets and researchers, too, who have been open-minded, supportive, and cooperative, including Max's vet here in Escondido who found a creative way to clean Max's teeth without full anesthesia, such that we, collectively, have learned, through trial and error, to treat our diabetic "every cat is different" cats!

Poor Max, lol. That dress was mine when I was a baby, and it was a joke before I had a child, a little late in life, that Max was my child. Of course, he still is! Yes, he was as mad as he appears that I put him in that dress! I think he was about 11 or 12 back then. Now, when he watches me dress Emma, who doesn't like it much more than he would most of the time, I know he thinks, "That poor creature! She only did that to me once!"

The In-Box! Max would sit in the box, and we would say that he felt ignored, noticed that the stuff in the in-box got attention, and decided he would try it! It worked, of course, because scritches and treats were the only way to get him off of the paper so that we could get some work done!

I'll be back later. I might even get my husband to help me post some more pictures, but don't count on it, lol!

Emma was about 9 months old in that picture of Max with his bowl. She would not leave the cat food alone! Max was very tolerant of her messing around with it, but in this particular picture, he was hungry, and he was waiting for me to fill it. How dare I take pictures first!

Dale, this news brought tears to my eyes...tears of happiness for you and Max!

It seems like just yesterday that you posted for the first time, frustrated by Max's numbers, and his bouncing and diving, and look where you are today! Your hard work and dedication to Max has truly paid off!

May you never, ever, ever have to pick up an insulin syringe again! :YMHUG:

Dale - big congratulations and I really enjoyed your backstory of those pictures! LOL, I didn't even notice Max was sitting in an inbox in that pic. I'll think of that next time I'm trying to put together an OTJ video and my own cats are insisting on sitting in front of the monitor and lying on my desk and shoving my keyboard in my lap. :lol:

Congratulations Dale and Max! I know you are enjoying the freedom from 12 hour schedules and worries about high or low BG numbers. It's great isn't it!

Camille and MJ did a delightful job on your video, it made me laugh out loud. And laughter is wonderful medicine for my recuperation. Max's face wearing the dress was priceless and the water bowl with Emma was too funny!

Anne & Muffin asked if that was the "cross-dressing Binks" asking to wear the dress...

Congrats Dale, Randy, Emma and of course, to you Max!!! This is the first time I've "watched" a Lantus kitty go OTJ from one day to the next, stepping down the dose ladder and swimming in a sea of green. It's been awesome to see and to feel "a part of", and a tremendous learning experience for me. I am so, so happy for all of you :-D

Oh, my! We were gone most of the day, and when I got home I had to lay down with Emma to keep her from waking up. I fell dead asleep, it's now 1:00, and I'm up! Oh, no! Hope I can go back to sleep.

Silly beans didn't leave the puter on fer me while teh were away, but wiss teh BabyBean gone, I got lots of sleepus! Had teh house all to meself! Gloriousness! Alexa, thank you. I am over the moon! Emma and I go to baby sign language classes today. I had hoped to do this earlier, but it was pretty overwhelmed trying to care for Max. Now I have only one member of the household whose food intake I have to worry about! Still have to watch the poops for them both, but that's much easier than the alternative!

Melanie, I wish I could say I'll be around a lot, but its just not possible. However, I will pop in as much as I can!

Debi, Thanks! What a beautiful picture. I want to go under that waterfall! There is a place near Cuernavaca, Mexico (in the state of Morelos) where you can go under the waterfall and into a cave. Many, many years ago there was a dance club in there. Some of the old stone tables are still in there. Thats wonderful that Jezebel is still OTJ!

Ann, Thank you! You have been so kind and supportive. Hope Maggie is doing well.

Thanks, Lisa, I'm still making it through all the thank you. I have house guests, and we have been very busy, but we are having fun. Max is doing very well. His BG was 90 yesterday when I tested him. Yea!
