Here it is...the moment we've been waiting for...one day late...Hadley is OTJ!!! His last insulin shot was the morning of March 25 and his BGs without insulin range from 50s to the 90s with the higher numbers typically in the morning.

Hadley is now a strapping 15 pound lovebug who likes to nap (surprise, surprise) plays with catnip, bird watches in his favorite window seat and runs races with Molly and Bagheera at night. He wouldn't be here today if it were not for Venita and DCIN, Fancy Cats Rescue Team, and FDMB, especially Sheila and Vicky. :mrgreen:

Molly's in the kitchen serving up drinks now. We have wine, catnip tea, tunaritas and mousetini's.

Mr. Super Sexy is enjoying the pokie-free days now and has just finished up his OTJ treat of 2 boiled shrimpies. (I snagged a few from our Easter dinner and set them aside for the big guy. Shh, don't tell.) Although he and Molly are getting a trifle plump on their new raw food only diet. I think I've been slightly overfeeding them - it's hard to remember to feed them less food since it's more concentrated. ohmygod_smile So far I've just been feeding them chicken but when I go to pick up my delivery this Saturday I'm getting chicken and turkey and will start feeding a 50/50 mix to cut down on the fat. Both are super soft and shiny and love their new food. I guess even former kibble-heads can be converted.

I e-mailed my vet to let her know about Hadley's remission and she replied that she was going to send all her diabetic kitties to my house for diabetic boot camp!
