Welcome to the Falls George!! :otj::otj::otj: Hope you get to stay here for a long long time :woot: Congrats to you Gill, you worked so hard and now it's paid off, fabulous news!!!

Ivana has had a change of costume, and decided to be a bit more understated than her original Queen Amidala outfit - I think this one either Princess Leia or an ewok, I'm not sure because I'm not a fan of Star Wars (sorry George!). Personally I think she wanted this one because it's easier to dance in ;)

In true Andalucian style the Fiesta went on till the early hours, and then the kitties sauntered down to the village to sample Chocolate con Churros just to perk them up a bit after all the Flamenco dancing, I hear Vyktor was doing a mean Sevillana on the dance floor.;)

The costumes were great and the food spectacular, the Gagh and the frogs a la Jabba were particular favorites with the kitties, and they did get some exercise chasing them frogs, thank you Chef Rusty for yet another delicious menu.:bighug::bighug:

Been popping in and out on the board today, but hadn't had a chance to sit down and write.

I want to thank each and everyone of you, such a fantastic community of crazy cat people, but really you are all so much more than that:kiss::kiss::kiss::bighug::bighug::bighug:
I know that George would not be enjoying his first night at the falls were it not for this board, I've said it before, but I said it again, I cried all the way home when we got his FD diagnosis, our vet painted a bleak picture, I came home researched, found Dr Lisas site and from there came here, changed his food, put my foot down on the RX food, and just swapped to wet overnight, he wasn't on insulin yet, George thought it was Christmas:rolleyes:, he'll eat most anything but he prefers wet. Symptoms improved just on the wet, he was peeing less and seemed more alert.
Got my meter started hometesting, I wasn't worried about that, George is a gentle soul, though I did worry that he would not want to come sit on me like he usually does, but truth is our bond became stronger.
We had to wait for a couple weeks for our first blue, and I totally freaked out when I saw 158 @ +8,:eek::eek::eek:LOL seems silly now, well you can imagine how I was shaking on his first shark hunt!! But you guys saw us through those first blues and first light greens till I was confident about handling those lower numbers, without you all we wouldn't be here now, I have my doubts whether BFG would be still with us, let alone thriving as he is at the moment.

I will still be popping in regularly, I want to pay it forward, besides there are too many friends here who I would miss.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

By the way this morning he was 100@ambg, 78 @+9 and pmbg 92, all p's in place. I think I will be continuing to test at ambg and pmbg(most days), it's kinda become our routine over the last fortnight, and I have ordered some new lower P food so I want to make sure that it doesn't disagree with his BG.

Gill, we are so happy for you and George! You worked so hard for this, and you earned it!

You truly are an asset on the Board, and have helped so many people here. I hope you will stick around and continue to do so. We all really value your input.

And George, just cause you're OTJ, don't think you can just eat whatever you want! You still have to follow a good diet and get plenty of exercise and plenty of rest - you learned some good habits, I saw in the video, so keep it up big guy!

I wish you many happy, healthy years at the Falls!
