Dante--
I made you a cake. It has aquatic animals because you're so good at those green numbers--and because it's yummy fish-flavored. Congratulations on being OTJ!
Purrs,
Chef Felix

Congrats! Always happy when someone makes it to The Falls!!! Fabulous!!:otj::otj::otj::otj::otj:

Thank you, Sue, thank you for your support, I have been reading your replies as well, you always give great support to everyone! I see Luci still keeps you guessing, keep on keeping on as this is an incredible forum, the answers are here, you won't find this kind of support, knowledge, wisdom and sharing anywhere else; incredible!

Congratulations.

Thank you, thank you! I see Olive had heart issues as well, Dante had heart failure 2 years ago and is now doing incredible! He is on fish oil too, as I put them in gel caps; the fish oil tends to smell bad rather quickly and with the gel caps there is no smell, so he swallows it easily after I dip the gel cap in his homemade chicken broth. A perfect way to give him his heart meds too! Hang in there, there is hope and wisdom here at the forum, a lot of it! :)

ENJOY THE FALLS! DON'T FORGET TO WRITE!!

Ella (& Rusty, enjoying your party from the Bridge)
Ella, Hah, are you kidding, we're not going anywhere! I may not put my 2 cents in very often, but I will be here, reading and staying in touch! Thank you for the support and from Rusty as well! Rusty is still with you, keep looking for those signs, btw, I do have a question though - did it take a while for you to notice and realize the signs were from him? When you saw the signs, did you at first, hesitate, and discount them as signs? Just curious...

Chef Felix (@Susan&Felix ), you outdid yourself with that beautiful cake!
I have seen these beautiful cake creations and thought they were the coolest cakes I have ever seen, I had no idea where they came from, except from a 'Chef Felix', so I had no idea Dante would be graced with a beautiful cake as well!!! Thank you again! I love it, there are so many wonderful people here sharing their time and talent, it is incredible!

Thanks, Camille, for another great video!
Yes, Camille was sooooooo patient with me, as I would postpone the OTJ party out of hesitation and perhaps a bit of disbelief that it was actually occurring. Absolutely Fantastic, thank you again, Camille!

Wonderful news!! Congrats and many years at the falls!

Bobbie, you are the Best, THANK YOU! Dante is OTJ because of your patience with me. I listened to your wisdom, along with everyone else here and an OTJ party was the result, wow. period! Even though every single vet told me they didn't think it possible to be in remission twice, I believed it could happen, so thank you for your patience! I don't think Dante was actually in remission the first time, perhaps by American standards, but his numbers now are truly a good range, so who knows if he really was in remission the first time. Now it truly is diet controlled diabetes. Thank you for sharing your wisdom! :bighug::bighug:

Congrats Carol and Dante - what a great feeling to be OTJ! What a great vid too!

Thank you, Jeff, yes it is hard for me to believe, still getting used to that idea!

I was looking at Leo's SS, and remembered what we went through with Dante. Dante's holistic vet taught me to work with 1 disorder of the body at a time, then go on to the next one. Dante was having heart, liver and diabetes issues when I first saw this holistic doctor and was on 10 different types of meds and herbs daily. The holistic doctor took him off 7(!) of them and said too many meds were interrupting the flow of natural healing. He was right, get the heart in order first, then the liver and diabetes will start to heal, and that is exactly the course we took. Wow, you are doing an absolutely incredible job with your kiddies, it is time-consuming but well worth it as every life is precious! Especially when those lives have the cutest faces!! I read your posts and saw your photos, they were great! Keep on Keeping on, your kiddies love you for it, they know who loves them! Thank you for giving support for Dante and writing to him! :)

Thanks. I try to follow and help 2 or 3 kittehs at a time, but I was never able to really follow Dante. You did a great job with him too. Heart failure in a young kitteh - that is such a big challenge. And so rewarding that you got him thru it. Then to OTJ.:bighug:

Leo had multiple issues starting a few years ago. The Acro was the hardest, but I got SRT for him in Ft Collins. Leo just celebrated his 3rd diabetes anniversary - thread here. And this past month, he is kinda regulated.

You are right. Without someone latching on to us in the early stages, it is a challenge to get thru. Leo's hero is Wendy - she helped and encouraged the whole way. Now I try to pay back with advice or encouragement.

We knew immediately. These signs were so out-of-the-ordinary that they could not have been coincidence. And they continue. The other night the toilet-bolt cap was in the middle of the bathroom floor. Rusty used to like to play with the cap, batting it about and chasing it. These signs are really great!

Hope Dante is loving the Falls!

Wow, you are going through a lot, I think when animals have health issues, we form a tighter bond as we see how truly precious life is. You have been incredibly detailed with your care, exactly what Leo needs! Great job! Yes, we are so lucky to be here with the support from everyone, Nice!

Happy :otj: and Life at the Falls, Carol and Dante!

Thank you!! LOVE the cuteness of this picture, I love their little paws, too cute!!!! Thank you for taking time for the picture, it definitely put a big smile on my face! Dante has been through a lot, a break at the Falls is something he says he can definitely get used to! Thank you for your kindness!

Hah, yes, they are actually fun to see, this is what I call a 'knowing', a mutual understanding of all parties involved. No words need to be expressed, just a warm smile that starts from inside that makes its way to our faces, to the point that you can't stop smiling the whole day - can't express this feeling, just that it feels warm, hah, bask in it - keep enjoying it!

Congrats! That's so awesome :)

Thank you! Another Wow to you too, as Gypsy's ss has made tremendous stride! Woo Hoo, how exciting to see the change! To go from 700 → 129 after a week is insane(!!!!), I would have started crying myself! I see that you are new to this forum as you just became a member a week ago, you made the best move coming here!

Stay with this forum, There are tons of people with massive love and wisdom and more than willing to share their knowledge, they will guide Gypsy to the Falls, so listen and take heart to what they suggest. For me, I think it was the suggested calipers for exact dosing and staying within a 15-min leeway between 12-hour shots along with patience and persistence that brought him to the Falls. Don't be afraid to ask for help, and what's great is that you have support from around the world here, so you can have answers 24 hours a day! You will be amazed(!) by the amount of support here, they are what everyone calls "angels' as they guide you, step-by-step through the process. I had help from many people, though I seemed to reach out to @Bobbie And Bubba, probably too many times for my own comfort level, but every time, she was sooooo patient and supportive as with everyone else here. You can 'tag' people which will send them an alert when their name comes up in conversation, as I just did with her. There are so many 'heavy hitters' here, and with your ss going the way it is, I have a feeling you will be posting a lot here, and that is why you are here! Good luck and thank you for your support!

Congrats! :bighug: :otj: :bighug:

Dante looks JUST like my Shmee! So handsome

Woo Hoo, you're right, hah maybe we should start the 'black cat society'!!! Thank you for your support here and Dante loves the hugs!! Haha, I loooove black cats, they look like mini panthers. I saw a real panther up close and he had the brownish red fur on his chest too, just like Dante! Stunningly gorgeous, and Shmee is no different!

Ah, in looking at Shmee's ss, Shmee's numbers are looking great(!) don't forget to ask for advice if needed as having some of the heavy hitters, (NOT me!) taking a quick look at your numbers might offer some wisdom and guidance for you, it never hurts to have a second set of eyes as Shmee is in the greens this am!! Wow!! looking good!

Totally agree. I don't think Gypsy would be doing anywhere near as well as she is if not for this forum. It's a lot to take in, but everyone here has saved me from tears / panic. Congratulations again :-)
