I'm pretty sure that Bob is taking a trip to the falls. I looked in the faq and the glossary but coul not find a "definition" of what constitutes "OTJ" however. Not jinxing, not jinxing, not jinxing. Can someone tell me if there is an actual set definition for what constitutes h*n*m**n and at what point that becomes "OTJ"?
Carl

OTJ is when a sugarcat has been off insulin for at least 2 weeks with normal bloodsugar numbers (between 50-120) with most of those in the double digits. Or at least that was how it was explained to me when Maxwell packed his bags for the Falls 8 months ago. =)

gosh, i wonder if .1u counts. it is akin to nothing.
1 drop the size of the period at the end of this sentence has kept tom below 120 for weeks, sans his nervouse breakdown trip to the vet.
this would be his 2nd trip to the falls, so he already owns all the proper gear.

Lori,
Try just passing the insulin bottle under Tom's nose and let him get a whiff. That definitely would qualify even if the "." would not!
Bob hasn't had a shot since the evening of the 19th, and he's been in the mid-60s to upper 80s since then, other than one 97 a couple nights ago. I think he's enjoying summer in Northern NY while I'm down here melting.

Looks like Bob's gearing up for a party next week! Go Bob :RAHCAT

Lori - have you tried going off of .1 if you've been there for more than a cycle and held under 120?

We truly had to fake it with Smokey. She'd lay in her testing spot purring and refuse to get up and go eat until I went over and petted her, played with her ears, and pretended like I tested and shot.

Actually I have tried skipping a shot when he presented me with a, like, 85 or 90 say. 12 hours later he was up to 140 and I chose not to let him rise further.
Now, understand....he is currently eating h/c crack due to his inappetence. I wonder what I will find if he ever fully regains his appetite and I can remove the crack.
That...might be a whole 'nother story. :-D
