Ok, here's a pic of the new guy:

He is a brown tiger, about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. His name is Thomas. I am planning on putting Dallas in my room for about an hour tonight so that Thomas can get out of his room and check out the house. They have seen each other a few times and there has been no hissing or growling. They have spoken to the animal communicator and both are interested in playing.

Fingers crossed that it goes smoothly. I am off from work on Saturday and will be home all day with them.

Bless you for taking another kitty. Welcome Thomas and I hope all goes well for your boys, please keep us updated with news and pictures as you have time.

Welcome home Thomas. You have landed so softly. You play nice with your new brudder and no biting his ears!!

Thanks! He likes to head butt, that's for sure!
Had a slight setback tonight. I put Dallas in my room and opened the door to the guest room (where Thomas has been all week) and he had no desire to get up off the bed. I went downstairs and waited for him to explore. After about 10 minutes he finally attempted the stairs and was nervously checking out the first floor. He then went back upstairs to his room. I ended up letting Dallas out if his room since Thomas was done exploring and well Dallas went up to him and thomas hissed. Thomas was up on the bed and Dallas next to him on the floor. I don't think he was mad, just unnerved. The stairs may have been tough for him, I don't think he's done them before.

I went in and spent about 30 minutes in the room with Thomas just reading and being quiet. As I was leaving, Dallas came in again, but there was no confrontation. I think Dallas wants to be his friend so badly he doesn't understand that Thomas needs to adjust to us after coming from a foster home with 8 other cats.

Keep sending us good thoughts. I do apreciate it.

I have a better pic of him on my cell, but have trouble posting those here. I have trouble posting pics here period because they all have to be resized. That is why I haven't gotten around to a Cedric tribute....working 7 days makes it hard to find time to do anything!

Welcome Thomas!!!

It will be so rewarding when he is integrated. I found baby gates worked during the interim but it sounds like you won't need them.

I am glad he picked you because you are a super momma bean!!!

He's a pic I took with my cell phone the other night:

I keep telling myself, it's a marathon not a sprint....
I think the worst part is the Dallas really wants to be friends and is a bit vocal about it. That's the part that is hard to handle, especially when he woke me up at 3:30am yesterday....

Sitting here with Thomas now and my butt hurts after 45 minutes! I opened the window some to get a bit of fresh air in here...he's liking that!
