Hi everyone!!! I hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying restaurants/spas/beaches etc as they open up! We entered "phase 2" on Friday allowing patios to open and hair salons to open, among other businesses. So Friday at noon was lunch on a local patio and Saturday at noon was a cut & colour YAY!!!! DH is also happy as golf opened up a couple of weeks ago!

I think I forgot to mention last week....there is a Red-Tailed Hawk's nest nearby so I've been watching it carefully....there are 3 chicks and they are just about to fledge! I am including a shot I got of the three babies with Mama.

This week's photos.....a Great Blue Heron, a Great-Crested Flycatcher, a Spotted Sandpiper Chick, a Mute Swan Cygnet, a Duckling, a Red Fox, and a Coyote!

Thank you for looking!!! Please stay safe!

I would never have thought that the red-tailed hawks would nest on an eave/gutter of a home! SO awesome!
It's actually an old school that has recently been converted into a YMCA! Some neighbours have told me it's been there for 3-4 years, one other said it's been there for about 10 years.

Beautiful pictures Judy!! Thank you for continuing to share them with us!! As cute and gorgeous as they all are, I'm partial to those hawk babies, can they be any cuter?

Lovely photos, Judy. And such a movie star fox!
Not seeing much of anything these days except for starlings, blue jays, grackles, and robins.
I'm making do with these little creatures.

Thank you! And I wish I had chipmunks....I see one under my feeders the odd time but that's about it. And I seem to have a lot of grackles and starlings this year...they're making messes all over my yard and bullying the other birds.

We have tons of grackles, red-tipped and yellow-tipped, they all jump into the birdbath together, it's so funny! :joyful:
I love watching the parents teach the baby birds how to bath.....mom and/or dad are in the bath splashing about and the little babies are on the edge flapping their wings like crazy lol. It's a learning curve I guess.

The hawk family portrait impressive! Great photos again this week. Thanks, Judy. We have tons of chipmunks here. Gus caught one today (his first). He brought it over to us, dropped it, and it ran away. I'm glad it got away, but we praised Gus for his prowess (he is a cat, after all). He is very proud of himself.
Have a good week ahead. We have awful, HOT weather. Not characteristic at all.

You can keep the coyote, we don't need more of those, but I want that Fox!!! I've only ever seen a fox one time out loose. You are lucky Judy. Always loving angel Boomer.
