Good morning!
Gosh it's hot here now! I think it was less than 2 weeks ago we actually had snow, yesterday we had to put the A/C on. Supposed to be like this for a few days. What happened to spring?

I have a hummingbird coming to my feeder! First time ever; I've seen it 5 or 6 times. Would like to get a shot of it for my backyard bird book, wish me luck!

We went on a road trip to Rondeau Provincial Park a few days ago.....it's a popular spot for birds during spring migration. It was a beautiful day but I think the sun drove the bugs and therefore the birds up to the tops of the trees. So it wasn't very productive although I did get some good shots of three Canada Warblers.

Most of the spring migrants have moved on now; there are still a few Yellow Warblers around but that's about it.

Today's photos.....a Black-Throated Blue Warbler, an Indigo Bunting, a Canada Warbler, a Killdeer Chick, a Yellow Warbler, a Great Blue Heron, and a Fawn!

Thank you for looking! And please stay safe!

Love the Photos Especially little Bambi!

My neighbor told me I had 2 deer on my driveway at 6:30AM yesterday! I've lived here 47 years & have never seen a deer here.
I'm quite a distance from the forest . It's VERY unusual for deer to come so near the houses.

I got up eary this morning hoping they might be back. But nope,I'm so disappointed I missed them yesterday.

Oh how beautiful! Judy - you make me miss Michigan! We usually see a lot of those birds there as well...nothing like that here in Florida now...only the waders and top predators...which aren't very sing-songy. Even the Pileated Woodpecker seems to have flown north!

Your photos are sure lovely! Thank you so much for sharing! A bright spot in my day!! :bighug::bighug:

Thanks JoyBee! I think all the wildlife are coming into the city further since there aren't as many people out and about! I know there were two coyote spotted only a couple of blocks from my place recently.

Thank you Sue! I do love seeing the different birds but a lot are here for just a few days then fly further up north.

What beautiful birds you have near you Judy! Love the kildeer chick and his/her fuzz. I am curious what type of hummingbird you have near you.

The wildlife are getting braver. A friend near me sent me a picture of an owl sitting on her flagpole - perhaps the same one that attacked her cat a previous evening. Kitty is now no longer allowed out after 6PM, even if the humans are out in the yard.

I saw a western tanager the other day in my front yard! I thought about you immediately ... just because it was a bird I hadn’t seen before and you always have beautiful pics of birds I haven’t seen.

hope you’re doing well :)

Thanks Wendy! I have no idea what type of hummingbird it is, if I try to get out my door to get closer (or to take a picture) it flies away:(
Yikes on the owl! Happy kitty is ok!

Oh that would be awesome!

Beautiful pictures Judy, thank you!! The fawn is so sweet!! The heron looks exactly like Clarence, our local pterodactyl!! Our neighbour has pointed out all the "locals" to us and of course he's named them all!! :joyful: Have a wonderful day!! Good luck with the hummer picture!! :)
