my grandmother turned out to have a fractured hip instead of broken so they put in a pin and made her walk already ( good)
she will transfer to a rehab/pt center on monday in Brenham. Don't know how my mother is going to get thru but one day at a time.

Steve is at the hospital still but they told him he should be out tonite as long as he keeps dinner down.....
He kept his lunch down... soup and fluids...

Looks like he should be on a low residue diet which will be interesting because everything he eats is granola, whole grains and raw fruit.
It's going to make him crazy.

And I am wearing a filter mask now which is helping me greatly since Juniper is my worst allergen and it's ridiculously high... my front porch
is yellow from all the pollen. I hope the season gets over quickly....

it would be less embarassing.... :lol:

I hope your DH gets to come home tonight and can adjust to his new diet. That's good your grandmother's hip is only fractured. I hope the mask helps with your allergies. I hope Shadow is still giving you nice greens. Sending prayers to you and your family.

You sure have your hands full right now, Rhiannon...many vines and prayers coming from all directions for you! I hope Steve is doing better, your DGma heals up quickly, and the allergy season passes in the blink of an eye!!

Hi Rhiannon. I wish your DH a speedy recovery and hope the new diet doesn't taste too bad. Glad that your grandmother only fractured her hip. It's great that she is up and walking already. With all of this you have to contend with allergies yet. To say it's a busy time for you would be an understatement. Happy that Shadow is doing well also.

YAY that Steve is home and drooler is happy!!! (no shock about Shadow!!! :lol: ) Also, happy to hear about your grandmother...up and walking already! Good for her. Sorry to hear about your allergies, but the thought of the vader mask is priceless!!!!

I'm happy to hear Steve is home and your grandmother is better and up and walking.

I never did like junipers, home for too many bad things that cause fungus on my pear trees. :evil:

So happy to hear the icky news replaced by wonderful news. Here's hoping for a little rest and relaxation for all of you and for things to get back to "normal." Sending healthy, non-allergenic, spring healing vines your way! :-D
 
It's great to hear your grandma only had a fracture and that they've got her up and walking around. That's the best they can do - bed rest is no good unless absolutely necessary for recovery. Putting weight on the bone strengthens it and it helps the fracture heal faster.

I hope Steve comes home and doesn't drive himself (and you) crazy. Hey - we've got the barfing down...Leo will spot him a dose of Cerenia :lol: :lol: :lol:

Healing and calming vines to all of you. But I can tell you're off having fun and creating havoc on other kitty condos today :-)

I'm very glad your grandmother's hip is not as bad as was thought, and that she recovers completely.

It sucks big time, to have allergies! :sad:
