OT: Prayers for Katie: Update

I have always been a believer in the power if this Board, in its ability to muster strong positive healing vines for those that need them. This morning I ask for prayers for a sweet 15 year old girl who is in dire need of them, Katie.

I had a message this morning from Barbara of Barbara and Tuffy. A friend of hers daughter was recently bitten, on her bottom, by a kitten that had been attacked by a racoon. The child was given injections of antibiotics to deal with the bite. She has had a difficult time, has developed gangrene from the bite, had five surgeries to remove infected tissue. This morning she is not doing well, the prognosis is grim. She is a sweet 15 year old girl who wants nothing more than to be a vet, care for animals. This morning she is fighting for her life.

Perhaps we can help her with some healing vines, white light, snowflakes. Thank you all!

How awful!!! I've got prayers going out to Katie and her family. What a terrible ordeal!! I hope she can continue her fight!!

Oh Michelle, that's horrible. Many prayers going out for Katy, that she recovers, and that her family will be strong for her.
Poor Barbara must be in so much pain for her friend.

On Behalf of Barbara, thank you everyone!

This is the latest news that Barbara has: Katie is in the ICU, isolation unit, where she has been for the past 10 days. Apparently she still continues to have many symptoms, associated with the gangrene, with little sign of improvement. She hopes that she can go and visit tomorrow, and at least give Katie's mother a break, who has been there 24/7 for the past 10 days. Barbara is truly grateful for all the good wishes from everyone here. She is devastated, since, as she put it, Katie is one special young lady.

Many prayers for Katie and her family tonight and all the healing vines and white light we can summon. May this brave girl, who loves animals and who wants to be a vet, recover from this terrible ordeal. Thank you Barbara and Michelle for calling attention to Katie's fight.

First of all, Thank You Michelle for posting this for me, it has been very stressful. I will update if there is any change. I hope to be able to see her and her mother tomorrow night. I hope that there will be an improvement that I can post. She is a very special young lady.

I know the power of this board. THANK YOU ALL for your prayers, white light, snowflakes and everything else. Bless each and every one of you.

I'm so sorry this child has to go through such a battle for her life.

Hi All,

I Know Barbara has posted here as well, and thought I'd add a little additional info.

Katie has had another surgery today, to remove more infected tissue. It seems that the main issue here is from the injection site for the AB's she received, more so than the actual bite. She remains in critical condition. I am sure Barbara will update tonight, or maybe tomorrow, when she has more information. She has gone to the hospital to see if she can visit, and give Katie's mom a much needed break.

I too would like that thank all of you for your posts and prayers. You guys are great!
 
Sending many prayers, much healing light and positive thoughts of healing for Katie. Thank you Michelle and Barb for updating us. May her surgery today be successful and may she start down the road to total recovery of her health.

An update on Katie - I was able to see Katie in the hospital tonite even though she is still in ICU. Katie underwent another surgery today and is scheduled for another tomorrow. She continues to run high fevers and has been diagnosed now with four different types of infection. It's so sad to see the pain she is in and all the tubes, monitors, etc. she is hooked up to. Katie is a trooper and is fighting this with all that she has. She is a such a sweet girl and, despite all that she is going through, she continues to say thank you to everyone who is helping her. Please continue to pray for Katie and her family.
My heart is breaking for all of them. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes.

Michelle thank you for your help, support and understanding in helping me with this. It has been great.
 
Praying with all my might for Katie to pull through this, with strength & love!!
Thinking of her constantly...Healing vines sent by the angels for her recovery!!
