Sending you a big hug Paula. Tina sends you a big hug and kiss and wants me to tell you she still sees Ollie through the veil at the full moon parties. You took such good care of your little princess. I miss her being with you. Such a beauty that little Olive.

Paula :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Beautiful Olive landed in the bestest of places when the kitty transport caravan stopped at your place. She certainly looks like she was a "Love".

PS: I'm glad you've managed to upload pictures now.

@Chris & China (GA) How is Miss Kitty?
@Wendy&Neko How are your parents?

I know right. I had no idea people transported animals. Dropped what they are doing and drive to next relay with an animal they have no bond with. DCIN and volunteers were amazing getting everything arranged. FDMB caring, knowledge, support was unbelievable in our journey as we discovered the many issues we dealt with. I don't know if I could do it again. But.......

Couple of weeks ago, a irresponsible person threw a kitten on the side of the road just down from my door. I heard it crying one night and saw it but it ran from me. It was tiny on the side of busy backcountry road against an electric fence. Heard it again next morning, hubby and I got the farmer to let us in the electric fence to try to catch it. It ran deeper into the woods. I was glad it wasn't on the shoulder of the road anymore. Next day I heard it again nearby but couldn't find it. The following day it was under husband car. We were now trying to trap it. No rescue had a trap I could borrow. All stores were sold out. I put out a carrier with food and water. I would constantly look out the door to see if I could see him. I did and he was eating the food, going in the carrier. Kept fine tuning our trap and covered it up from the rain. By now Archie (name of road he was on) was pretty much staying under my car and playing on our deck but just to leary to any sound and would run off. We kept trying to get a trap but was having no luck. By now I was attached to this little thing even though I never got to cuddle it. He was going to join our family. Finally got the one we were making so we could pull a rope from the house and have a board cover up the opening to the carrier. But before we could see him in there, he met a tragic end.

Why do people have to do stuff like that. It makes me sick.

How is Miss Kitty?

She's doing very well! One of the other residents in the facility "adopted" her so she has a new human to be with. The manager of the facility helps out too. Her new "mom" has also really benefitted from having her. She is more outgoing and engaged with the other residents since Miss Kitty came into her life.

She knows where the kitchen is and races Maria (the manager) to the door every morning for her "first" breakfast, then later in the morning after all the residents have had their breakfast, her "mom" feeds her a 2nd one.

I am forever grateful for the help I got keeping her in the home she knew after mom passed and she's been a blessing for this other lady too (who would have never been able to come up with the pet deposit on her own)

I love the photos of your pickled Olive. Funny, I did my pickle making a couple of weeks ago and thought of her and specifically the pickled Olive story:D. Such a beautiful floofy girl! Her rescue story broke my heart but she ended up with the most caring mom who gave her the best life:bighug:.
I'm so sorry about Archie. I will never understand how people can be so cruel, especially to animals.

Oh Paula, has it been a year already? I remember the heartache...it was indeed a sad day - it always is.

And yes, she was such a Princess! Such a lucky mom you are to have found her and that she allowed you to be 'The One' to be her staff!

Such a sad tale about that little one you were trying to catch...'sigh'.... I wish this forum had a different 'response' so we could put the sad face emoji or a hug emoji as needed. The "Like" button somehow seems inappropriate ...

But we carry on...and do our best.

I hope you are well...Luci and I send our best - well, Luci only does it vicariously...she's having a rest after her dinner and can't be bothered with typing at this particular time...

Hi, we are well here. Whaaaaa Luci not helping you? Whats up with that..........

What a beauty little Olive was! Thank you for sharing the pictures - I didn't know you when Olive had FD. I love the picture of her on her cat scratcher the most - LOL do all cats sit on the cat scratcher?! I thought it was only Pearl - we have the extra big one, too!

Hugs to you on this day :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
