I'm still a little in shock. It all happened so fast.
Our dog was running up the stairs after my two civvie cats and, I don't know if she fell down the stairs, but she twisted something in her back. She couldn't stand, was yelping and barking.
We rushed her to the Emergency Vet. Their initial assessment was she has some deep pain in her rear area. They gave her morphine and a sedative to ease the pain. They're taking x-rays and will know better in an hour what's going on.
The Vet gave a range of something as simple as a fractured hip to a full on spinal cord sever.
My daughter is really broken up about it right now, this is her dog. I'm trying to hold it together for her so that I can comfort her.
