Whew that the feeding tube removal went easy with no sedation required AND that Leo’s mouth looking good. Hope he’ll be resuming full appy real soon. I know what you mean when vets do the let’s wait and see on some things instead of seeing the benefits of thinking ahead just in case something, especially that which will provide basic support, is needed. Went through that again recently, this time with civie Spunky.
Vines for you, Karen, and for Leo in his recovery!❤️

Very happy to report Leo is a new cat with the feeding tube out and the bupe out of his system. :woot::woot: It's crazy that a 15.9lb can't handle bupe:rolleyes:....ECID. He has eaten at his normal pre-surgery times & amount this morning. Last night he ate 3 Primal nuggets after we were back from getting the tube out. I am keeping a sliver on Zyrtec on board for insurance the next few days. With all the dust in the air here it can't hurt him. He even drank water last night too. To say I'm relieved is an understatement.

Another good discovery though this is that Leo really has no interest in canned food. Therefore I can leave some LC wet food on the floor for Moo so she doesn't have to struggle jumping onto the counter all the time.

Here's a picture of Leo begging Moo to let him sit with her last night after the tube came out. She's be kind of nice to him...for her anyway. All your vines, prayers and help really made a difference :bighug::bighug::bighug:

He is a very sensitive little man. :hbbgb(Olive helping, hehe) he doesn't want drugs, he wants his girlfriend to snuggle with him.

Great update Karen:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
So glad he's feeling more like himself and eating now that the feeding tube is out, and with the drugs out of his system.
Hope you continue to see improvement and that Moo lets him snuggle.

Hi Karen,
So glad to hear Leo is almost back to his old self and eating well! What a relief for you.
I can imagine how much better he feels with that tube out and the bupe out of his system.
Yes I am well thanks
