OT: I'm a new Auntie!!! w/ Photos

Hi everyone! Finally a little news to lift my spirits a bit. My newest nephew, Owen Henry Loichinger, was born yesterday at 4:42pm in Hawaii. He was 6.5 lbs & 19 inches long. All are doing very well and sounds like the birth couldn't have gone any better. I will hopefully get to Skype with them tomorrow so I can see him for the first time. Here is a pic sent to me this morning. I think he looks like my brother.


I hope you are all doing well. For those of you in the deep freeze, please stay warm and snuggled safe in your homes. Sending healing vines to those who are in need today.

Thanks everyone! Josie... I completely agree. Being an auntie is like the best thing in the whole world. \M/ The only thing is that I live so far away from my niece and nephews. I haven't been to visit for a year and a half :cry: But thankfully, technology lets us all talk and see each other on the computer! dancing_cat

Tara - that is funny! :lol: Just one of the many things he'll learn in his lifetime.

I'll be sure to send along all of your sweet toe kisses, hugs and HEADBUTTS! :lol: :lol: I'm sending a few fist bumps, whoops & hollers, and double handed air punches myself. :lol:
 
Can you blame me for wanting to show everybody my new nephew?!? I was able to visit via skype the other day and I was also sent a whole bunch of photos that were taken at the hospital. There were so many and I had a hard time choosing which one to post. They were all WAY TOO CUTE! Mom and Dad are doing well although very sleep deprived which I think is par for the course. Thanks to you all for the warm wishes and congrats.

I hope everyone is doing well. So glad to hear Shadow made it through her ordeal ok. Keeping Rhiannon and Shadow in my thoughts today for a speedy recovery.

Congratulations! I never reply to the message boards despite using them so much for personal strength and inspiration. I will say this, being an aunt is one of the best gifts I've been given. You can never be too proud (and you still get sleep! Win, win if you ask me). I'm proud to show off pictures every opportunity I'm given...both of my niece and my cat!
