I'm stuck at the office tonight. My poor kitties don't get dinner. Hope you all are in better conditions!

Same here...i'm in Birmingham. Spending night in office. DH could not test PJ so I instructed how to give .2u. Maybe keep her from getting too high. Stay safe...

I'm in Birmingham too! Luckily no one needs shots at my house. Hope e we both get home tomorrow! Feel bad for mine with no dinner but they should be fine. Hope yours is good too!

Oh my! Sorry to hear ya'll stuck away from home.

Snowing here in NC, calling for ice in the coastal plain, but I'm near Raleigh, so we should just get snow.

Prayers for you both. Much Love. :YMHUG:

It's nice to know someone nearby! I'm in Alabaster. Hoping we can drive tomorrow. My cats have no food til I get home.

Amazing how winter has trapped the South. Hope you were warm and safe last night and can get home to those starving kitties  today!

Not sure we can get out. My cats are going to starve. I'm afraid they'll get hepatic lipidosis....

2 or more days of no food is when you start worrying about hepatic lipidosis.

No neighbors with a key?

Rachel,

Since they are all civies, they should be fine without food, even for a couple days. They just won't be very happy  And when you get home, will make you pay.

I'm home!!!! Made a run for it. Only one threw up from eating fast. Hoping she eats more layer. Thanks for being there for me!!!!

It has been crazy here in Minnesota, too. We are climbing out of a deep freeze. Actual low temps -25 to -35 degrees. With wind chill it was -50 to -60. No school for two days. Luckily my car did start so that I could go to work. DH worked on frozen pipes for over two days now. Still no water! ohmygod_smile
I hope you all get home soon. At least our boys are being fed. Prayers for you.

Glad you made it home! I'm sure kitties were glad too! ;-)

@Sandy.........I don't know how your vehicles make it in that extreme cold. I just can't imagine. @-) I was concerned whether mine would start after being down to 11 degrees. Which is extremely cold for NC.

Getting a spare key for the neighbor this weekend!

So glad to hear the deep freeze isn't causing huge problems for you all. Minnesota temps sound MISERABLE!

BF is trying to make it home. Hope it works! That would make my and kitty's days.

Husbands car didn't start. We finally got water at 2:30 today. Yea! Yes it was miserable. Heard it was the coldest Dec and Jan on record. I'd love your winter weather!
Giving a key to the neighbor sounds like a great idea. You never know when you wouldn't be able to get home.

I live in Center Point and it took me 7 hours to get home. Chicken Little's food and shot were very late that day. I would not have made it home if mu uncle had not picked me up in Trussville and drove us over Chalkville Mountain Road! I'd have never made it home on my own. He has been staying with us and Chicken missed a shot yesterday! Her schedule is all out of wack! Today everything is supposed to thaw out so maybe we can get back to normal!

Another person nearby! I thought I was the only one in Alabama. Nice to have friends nearby!

Glad you got home safe. Lucky you weren't on 65...it was a parking lot. BF had to ditch his car on greensprings and walk a few miles to his school for shelter. I never even left...there was an accident blocking out exit and by the time it cleared, the hill we had to drive up was pure ice. People kept sliding back down. 31 was great yesterday though. All sanded and melted. Today...if ice melts...car retrieval!

Sleeping in a bed has never been more delightful than last night.

Wow! Glad you are all safe! Sounds like this winter weather we have been having really crippled the southern states! In CT, we are pretty used to that white stuff and even ice storms sometimes, but even here in the NE states, ice stops everything cause no one can drive on that stuff for sure.

We have had a decent winter snow wise here but these insane low temps are out of control! We have had -10 to -20 but NEVER minus 35 or lower...wow, MN is REALLY getting hit with that arctic air mass.
