Well, I cant even begin to tell you how much this made my day, everyone!

I was not looking fwd to this yrs bday. It was the big 4 0. :YMSIGH: Adding insult to age, it was the first bday since I turned 21 w/o Latte. She was given to me on my 22nd bday. Since she was only a few months old, we always celebrated our bdays together. I never cared much for this day until she was in my life. Only then it seemed worth celebrating. Yesterday also marked my 4 month anniversary w/o her. So ya, not easy.

I wish I could say I sensed her presence in one way or another. But I didnt. I never really do anymore. It may be that I never sit still enough to be open to it. Could be that she has just moved on and wants nothing to do with the crazy lady who constantly stuck her with needles. :roll:

I kept myself pretty busy yesterday, working 2 jobs. That helped. Duchess was a good girl...a little more mellow and affectionate than usual. I think she may have sensed my sadness and gave me a break from her kitty antics and demands for food and play. She did however leave a gift on the rug that has earned her a trip to the vet tomorrow. Could be my fear, but I suspect she has the beginnings of IBD.

Again, thank you so much for thinking of me (and Latte) despite the fact I am here so sporadically. It reallly did make my day. I wish it was easier to post often. As I mentioned last week (?), sometimes its tolerable. Other times its just too darn hard. So many losses after Latte brings up more sadness. Please know, I do lurk from my phone on a regular basis and think of you all daily. This group made all the difference in the world for Latte and I.

On a closing note...I did share this video on facebook the other day. It was the one I made on her 3yr anniversary post ARF (due to metacam).
