So took my 16 year old Sylvester in to vet today. He has been declining lately, losing weight, appetite is poor and he walks like he is walking on egg shells. His fur looks poor as well. Not my usual Sylly.
The vet said he is dehydrated (he drinks a lot) and gave sub Q fluids. She took blood and urine tests, including T4. She is thinking either kidneys or thyroid, but either way, she said she " doesnt think it going to work out very well".
They had to sedate him as he went into full attack mode at the vet. This is my docile cat, who rarely even meows much less fights. He is completely gonzo now, and hubby and I are taking turns babysitting. We cant leave him alone because he falls over if he tries to stand up. Hard to watch.
Positive thoughts appreciated.
