OT - Caution re: Chicken Jerky Products for DOGS

I bought Happy Hips by Dogswell and sure enough way at the bottom of the package it says Made in CHINA......uuugh. And to think I got these at Whole Foods!
 
Most of dogswell gets chicken from china... you might try checking out Smart Dog Jerky : http://www.smartdogjerky.com/ It's reasonably priced, comes from the USA AND is fit for human consumption.

ETA : For what its worth in my research for work I did find Dogswell to be one of the better brands out there regarding safety with their meat. They say that they require each batch to be tested by an independent lab in the United States.
 
I was just told on the CHF list not to give anything made in china. Makes sense. I wouldn't have even thought any of them would have been made anywhere but USA and Canada. I'll be more aware now.
 
I ordered some freeze dried Wild Kitty salmon. When I got it the package said made in China , so there it sits! :-x
 
And who's to say that the company that makes something here in the US doesn't use a vendor that actually purchases the product from China - I don't know who to trust anymore!

This is ANOTHER problem - read Milkbone soft chews - says "distributed by" but not a word on where made...

when i get home i will look at the pkg that we have for Comet...wonder if that is the source of his tummy problems.... :sad:
