Last time I tried was 2004 and I made it 6 months being totally miserable! Going electronic has made a world of difference. No mood swings, no homicidal/suicidal tendencies. :lol:

I never expected quitting to be so easy.

Funny thing this morning, after talking to my son and being half asleep, I made coffee and went walking around the apt looking for something. After 5 mins I realized I was looking for my smokes! :lol: Grabbed my gear and vaped. Haven't looked for cigs in weeks, that sorta shocked me and shows how much is just mental addiction. My physical addiction is controlled by the nic, but the mental one had me trying to find cigs I haven't seen in a month. :lol: Seriously, it had me laughing at myself this morning. :-D

@BJM, I would, but you know I have shoulder issues. :lol:

I could not be happier with myself, unless I was healthier of course, but with the quitting? Yeah, I'm happy. :-D

33 days today. Made 4 new juices yesterday, they're steeping. :smile:

And I made 9 new e-liquid recipes yesterday and have them steeping. Well, 7 were new, 2 were 2nd attempts with some changes.

Yesterday I made:

Apricot Brandy - made Peach Brandy last time, was very good.
Coconut Cream Pie
Kahlua and Cream
Caramel Custard
Frosty Melons - changed this recipe, more melon flavor and less 'coolness'. This is cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon mix.
Orange Cognac
English Toffee
Caramel Cappuccino
Kentucky Blend - a tobacco flavored blend with Kentucky Bourbon and Madagascar Vanilla w/ a touch of caramel

I'm becoming quite the little chemist. ;-)

When I first started 'vaping', I thought the best e-juice for me would be a Menthol Tobacco flavor, since I was a menthol smoker. The idea of vaping 'food' flavors seemed a little strange. But you would be amazed! Some of this stuff is delicious! It's like having dessert and getting my nicotine at the same time. :thumbup

Although I do use a menthol tobacco flavor, it's usually just in the morning with my coffee. Some habits are tough to break. :roll: After that, it's like having access to a buffet. ;-) And I love the 'adult drink' flavors, like Peach Brandy. I'm using the last of that now. Decided to try it out with Apricot this time.

I've only made 1 flavor that wasn't usable, that had to be dumped. Was a disappointment for sure. The rest has been good to great, so I'm happy. :-D

It's taken a lot of practice to get flavors where I want them. 40+ yrs of smoking has numbed my tastebuds to the point that I can't taste flavors that the average person can. So I have to work on making them stronger and building them up to a level I can enjoy. It's actually fun. :-D Eventually my sense of taste and smell will come back and I'll have to reduce the flavors and start over with my recipes. :o
 
congrats! good thing i never got hooked when i smoked 1 or 2 cigs a day. ahhh
i cant even quit coca cola totally, or sugar! grrr so good for u :)
 
I got my sister's e-cig setup (e-go-T?) on Saturday. She only had the one flavor (it tastes how Cinnabon smells) that has no nicotine in it plus 3 battery packs. I still have to make it to a store to buy some flavors with nicotine in them but even still, my smoking has been cut in half since Saturday! And that's with me being stressed because I'm in the middle of moving! :-D
 
go girl go! i wish i knew what all these letters mean. urs should be OTN? for nicotine? or OTC, off the cigs? idk haha

good luck! those ecigs look fun if i had money i would be tempted to take up safely smoking. hahaha jk ;)

at 14 days will u have a OTC or OT...something party? jk

OTC=over the counter

And Pam you can get them without nicotine just flavoring. My husband has never smoked a day in his life but has a horrible chocolate addiction so now that he's trying to lose weight he has a seperate tank and a zero nicotine chocolate vape that he steals one of my batteries for when he's craving chocolate lol.

Now that you mention it...I've suddenly developed this craving for the horribly delicious Cinnabon delights from Taco Bell. I really need to get some more flavors and some with Nicotine. :?
 
If I can stay sane and off cigarettes dealing with Cali anyone can stop smoking with vaping lol. Now granted I'm sucking down about 2 packs worth of juice a day now that Cali is in house. But haven't threatened to kill anyone yet.
