Dear All,
Hopefully Lantus users will see this too. I can never thank you all enough for helping with Oscar's diabetes. He has been off insulin since the 19th of September and is doing really well his BG hovers between 60 and 110, I generally check it every 2nd day at various times and he seems like his old self (active and bossy). The vets are so surprised at his recovery but I keep saying wet low carb food! Not sure that they believe me. He weighs about 1/2 kilo (approx 1 pound) lighter than when we started but looks good and has his old energy back. I know this may end but for the time being he seems great.
Without your help we would still be battling on diabetic dry food and large doses of Caninsulin (originally prescribed) the change to Lantus and wet food made all the difference.
I may need your support in the future and hope I can come back to chat?
For those that remember us DH had back surgery about 4 weeks ago to correct the damage done when he fell through a roof 3 months ago so I have been really busy with him and it has been so great that Oscar could be left with DS to care for him.
