Well, got the test results back... gonna add two more medications to Orry's toolkit.
Negative for ketones ... very good news as he has been high more than he has been low. Mobility good. Frequent hydration and large urination. I am constantly cleaning the litter box from very wet cakes. I wish the kitties wouldn't pee in the same place a the time. Its a good size litter box. Maybe I need another one, ot sure where to put it though. No protien, no infection markers, no UTI... which is what pDVM suspected might be causing our insulin resistance bout.
Only thing the UA showed was glucose... 3+... oh good, because well, he does have diabetes.
Blood work... pancreas test is 5.5. When all this started, he was at a 4... so she his pancreatitis isn't getting any better, actually getting worse.
Picking up two new meds... vitamin B12 and Cerenia (anti-inflammatory) and based on clinical signs... increase dosage to 2.0u 2x daily. (Last time we were at this dose... he went hypo)
Not that I expect this to be easy... but seriously... I am not a morning person and I'm getting sleep deprived. On another note, I paid off Orry's credit card (half of his hospital stay).
