He is often lower than 200 and I have to skip his dose which makes him very high at the next dosage time. These ups and downs cannot be good. Should I decrease his dosage? From 2 units to maybe 1.75 or 1.5? Or should I just bite it and get him on a different insulin? I hear that lantus is known for getting kitties into remission. Has anyone had issues like this and switched and had good results? Or should I just keep with it and lower dosage for a couple of weeks to see if it helps?
