Buffy was doing really well, got her dose down to .5 unit twice a day. Her doctor said NS if below 150. Last Tuesday at her PMPS she was at 157 and she had eaten some raw food 2 hours later than she normally does so I felt that if she hadn't eaten she would have likely been at or below 150 so I didn't shoot. Mistake! Since then I can't seem to get her back to her previous numbers.

Coincidentally at the exact same time I changed syringes from 1 unit to half unit markings and started feeding her exclusively raw. Now I don't know if it's the syringe (possibly calibrated differently) or the food. This morning I switched back to the original syringes and back to Wellness to see if either is the cause.

Is it normal to see a change like this after missing one dose?

Yes, changing syringes can significantly change the does for small does like you are using. The Zero od syringes can vary because of normal tolerance of placing the markings on the syringe. Usually with one both the marking will be the same but can vary in the next box.

Thank you. Would you suggest using the original syringes (1 unit markings) and just eyeballing it like I was initially?

I have, but I'll reread it. Still new at this. :-/

My gut feeling is that it's the syringes because she's eats raw off and on and I've not seen any dramatic change like this.
