ive adjusted my numbers for shooting a bit being I have a human meter and it was below my vet's. I'm shooting now if he's over 150. He only needs a shot now once or twice a week. He was a little over 200 a week or so ago and the other day he was around 170 so I gave 1/4 to 1/2 a unit of Vetsulin and he hasn't needed any since. He's been anywhere from 70- 110 most of the time. Is this looking like he's still heading toward remission or do some cats just need that shot once or twice a week?

Looks like he's trying for remission! Are you using a human meter or pet meter? When it was 170 and you shot him what did it go down to? Do you have a spreadsheet or log you could share?

Human meter. Vetsulin. Last shot was under .5 unit when he was at 216 (I double checked, I wrote 170 on my original post but it was 216) and he was at 70 the next morning. No insulin since that night and he's usually in the 90s.

Great! Two weeks with no insulin and numbers between 50-120 and he will officially be in remission. Good luck!

Oh, I'd read under 150 with a human meter. Isn't 170 the high number on the range where you want them?
