Well, our vet wanted at least 3 weeks of 4.5 consistently with robbie no matter what his numbers were (within reason) and I've been doing it now - 3 weeks will be up but there's no time or money to take him to the vet this weekend so we'll go thru another week of this but that also gives me the chance to ask for some eyes on his SS in the next few days (no rush just anyone who has time). He's had lots of pinks and even reds at amps and pmps but some decent numbers in between. I don't know if he's bouncing, if the insulin just wears off? Would 4.0 be better or back up to 5.0 and hypos be damned we'll deal with them if we get em (easy to say but with my current work schedule and my husbands erratic one that's not so easy to do). I just don't know. I am guessing the Vet will bring up switching insulin to Levimir and I don't know where I'll go with that.
So if any of you could find the time - I'd like to be armed with some thoughts for the Vet - and personally I have nothing left in my head these days.

When I look at the SS, I can understand you thinking that you aren't getting 12 hours.....but.... it seems like his nadirs happen at +6 or later. If it was a short duration thing, I would expect you to see nadir at +4 or +5? I see some bouncing, like the day you shot 5, he dropped to 101, and then you got a 385, but that night, he went really long with a blue at +10, then you saw it double in 2 hours to 386 for AMPS. I think the nadir was pretty low that night, and the AMPS the next morning was more bounce and short duration.

I think the 4.5 dose looks good, if he'd quit bouncing every time you get a blue nadir...
I don't think "more" is going to fix it if that's what the vet determines you should do.

we were around all weekend so I gave a nudge up to 5.0 to see how it would go - figured if it wasn't a disaster I'd give that a week and see how it went before we go to the vet - but things got all screwed up - Saturday we didn't click the bedroom door closed and he got to his sisters food and I'm pretty sure ate about 1/4 of the FF with gravy - typically he won't climb up to where we feed her but he was feeling pretty feisty. So that screwed things up and than tonight after working in the sun all day I crashed at like 5pm and slept thru his 6:30 shot and he didn't get it till 7:15 so who the heck knows. I'll probably go back to 4.5 tomorrow - I just wish we could get out of so much pink and see some more blue.

OK, it's been another week.....how's things?
I looked at the SS but don't see the latest and greatest.
Please tell us everything is okay?

answered in a new post - we are OK just overwhelmed with work - Robbie is hanging in but not showing much movement in numbers.
