Generally a regulated kitty on insulin runs in the 200s at preshot and 100s at the lowest point in the cycle (nadir). A cat off insulin can run anywhere from 40 - 120 but usually often in the double digits.

hey michelle i can hardly keep up with you. you can ask all your questions on the same thread for now ok? we don't want to miss anything.
your kitty may be as high as 600...so don't freak out ok. a normal kitty is about 40-90 like sue said.
we will figure what your kitty needs once you start to get the numbers but you will need a prescription hon.
i am hopeing you can get levemir cause that is my particular favorite...but pz or lantus are good too. don't let the vet give you a script for anything other than these ok.
and get the script now if you can...you don't have to fill it but maybe he'll give it to you. kwim?
