OK to give fish oil to diabetic+IBD cat?

I've been seeing posts online about fish oil being good for IBD cats. Angel has both diabetes and IBD, and I was considering giving him fish oil a few times a week. Would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thank you :). (I give it to our arthritic civvie Akie, so thought maybe Angel could get some too...)
