Oh no numbers increasing ~ help! Advice needed..

It looks like you need to stick with the 2 units both morning and evening. When you have shot only 1.5 in the evening (with a yellow PMPS test) Pudgie has stayed too high. Is this your main thread? It’s going to be too hard to keep up with what’s going on if there are multiple threads that people are posting on at the same time.
:cat::cat::cat: i was thinking same.. but vet was thinking well he's a bit less active (sleeping) more at night (actually hes more awake im seeing..) and potentially eating less (eating kinda same..).. but likes to be conservative, which i think is good. but is looking like 2 at night will probably be good too right? yup.. will see this Tuesday; will be a week since 2 U AM/ 1.5 PM started.. or think should change tmw already?? it is hard seeing his #s go up.. and he's pretty miserable past 300.. :( (lmk if u can :joyful:..)

also looking into getting the Lantus and would like to start later this week.. that keeps numbers more even right?.. need to read the pages, but Lantus keeps things way more level then tapers back up around +11-12 or ?.. opinion on start dose for Lantus? (sorry if you answered on that; have a thread on Lantus dosing and someone said start with 1.25 i think.. oh boy don't quote me sorry.. vet was thinking starting just 1 U..)

and i have a few threads because of different questions and concerns, think like 4-5 rn ~ but was TOLD to do this cause my first one was getting too long (???) would probably still be there.. but was told it was long (over 50..) so to make a new one.. *shrug i guess my main one.. hm. let me see.. :bookworm:.. will get back. sure we could i guess i mean.. let me check..

(im having a hard time keeping up with them too!!.. unless i got a new or time sensitive question, yup.. it okay then to use my current threads?? not worry about length? or..?)

@Suzanne & Darcy :)

On your other thread Wendy said and suggested the following
With Lantus, you will be shooting the same does in the AM and the PM. I think you could start with either 1.5 units, or 1.75 units. Pick a day/night when you will be around to monitor fairly closely. Every once in a while we see a cat that reacts strongly to the change in insulin in the first couple cycles. But since Pudge hasn't been below 150 yet, the doses above should be OK. Depends whether you want to start eyeballing those 0.25 unit differences right away on new syringes.

Here is that thread

I also see you replied back to Wendy
IF i do do it at home (curve), i will be starting at just 1 U.. :/

You have 2 long threads going at once and members are replying back to both of them , it's confusing. We like to keep thread 50 and below

I think you should start a whole new thread tomorrow
Put the date, Pudge then his AMPS number and any additional tests you do after that, you can continue with the PMPS in the same title and link the 2 other threads you have already to tomorrow's
Do you know how to link previous threads ?

Edit I see Suzanne replied back on this thread above post #50

You also said
part of me wants to be very slow cause its a new insulin, longer acting.. etc. cause im deathly nervous of the trouble of a bad episode. so.. think 1.25 would be ok?might just do 1 U cuz im nervous.. haha. but plz lmk.

I guess it's up to you what dose you want to start at when you actually switch over to lantus :cat:
