Please advise, thanks.

My vet told me to stop insulin after I gave 1 units from 2 units for two times. (nov.1-pm and nov.2-am)
I have been doing some spot checks, I got 90s until this afternoon--- 156 at 3pm then 150 at 4:45pm, with a little food at 3:30pm.
I don't know what it is, I fed my cat 1/6can of BG turkey (before Grain by Merrick) at 7am and he didn't really finished it until 11am.
I didn't think he ate after that. (4hrs)

My cat Mimi ate 1/6can at 7pm.
I am thinking it is going to be above 120 after 7:30pm. I don't know what to do later... Should I wait until tomorrow morning or give him 1 unit if I see something above 120?
What if I shot him tonight and see something low tomorrow? On and off like this is not very good, right?

I wouldn't start shooting again just because of a couple of numbers. Try testing 4 hours after his last snack to see if his pancreas brought him down. Split his food into multiple small meals and space them out throughout the day and night. If his pancreas is working, that should help him keep his numbers lower. If he doesn't come down by tomorrow, then you might have to resume insulin.

Normally we taper the dose off gradually to support the pancreas for as long as possible before removing insulin. That tends to give cats the best chance at a remission that lasts. However, Mimi is such a new diabetic that since you have already stopped shooting, you might as well see if he can hold it.

Thanks so much.

Mimi is having 1- 1+1/4 can (5.5oz) or so a day, I feed him 1/4 or 1/6 each time, 4-6 times a day.
He doesn't seem like to eat much today.

I was a little concerned when my vet suggested me to off insulin, not even trying .5 or .25. because I read "drops" from people's spreadsheet.
She said one unit is very small amount so don't worry about it.

Although Mimi's diagnosed last month, I think Mimi have diabetes for an while because he has hind legs problem after big urine balls in his litter box.
