He really isn't doing much movement at all numbers wise.
I am at his 18th consecutive dose of 1.25 and the lowest I've busted him at was 230 on the Alphatrak 2 and 218 on the relion confirm.
I think I might kick him back up to 1.5 tonight and see what that does in the next week.
Concerned that I may have to get him a different insulin if he doesn't level somewhere in the yellow at 1.5u ,2.0u seems far too much.
I am wondering if I need to start dosing him depending on his preshot numbers or if that would only make him less stable.
Like 1.25 if he's in the low 300's and 1.5 if he is in the mid 300's or higher.
He is still hungry as hell.

With Lantus dosing off the preshot numbers doesn't work because the shot you're giving isn't the shot their body is using that cycle to lower blood sugar.

Right now if he was mine I'd take him up every 10 cycles. Go up until he comes down. There are a couple high dose conditions but we don't start worrying about them until the dose gets into the 5u range.

There is also a chance that Lantus and Obie aren't a good fit. The best insulin is the one your cat responses to.

His numbers today were at 461-473 on the Alpha and about 400ish on the relion all day without budging.
I upped his shot to 1.5u
