..is going to her new foster mom today. I am praying that she looks to this board so that we can continue to help this kitty.

Nuzzles went to the vet last night and got cerenia which is a blessing; B-12 shot; and Sub-Q fluids. I freaked out when they wanted me to give Sub-Q at home. I fell apart... I am too overwhelmed with her care and Snoball and my own civvies and my mom's cats and a house to be unloaded and a homeless brother to help. The vet said I could bring her in today and tomorrow and they would do it.

So I brought her home and she ate her usual hydrated food!

She was given Orbax for her UTI and since she is eating and hydrating, we are by-passing the Sub-Q fluids for now. Also, her new foster mom is a pro at giving Sub-Q fluids so I am relieved about that should she need this in the future. Her new mom also has given insulin but is going to learn about testing today. I feel good about that but teary about letting her go. I hope to stay involved in her care.

If new mom wants to join FDMB I will want to transfer the SS to her. I think I have to email it to her and then she would put it in her name. I know that's what Wendy did for me so I would need some guidance on that.

Thank you for all the advice, comfort, encouragement and love shown for Nuzzles. While she is still sick, she is better FD-wise.
Because she was eating, I resumed her insulin this morning. I expected a HI on the meter with no shot last night but was happy to see 528 instead.

You are truly wonderful for all that you do here!

Bye -bye Nuzzles! We know Robin will really miss you, but she has so much going on in her life right now, she needs to let go and let your new foster mommy help you.

We hope to see you and your new foster mommy on here soon Nuzzles. Miss you already.

It is a really good home. Both mom and dad fell in love with her the minute they held her. They are going to spoil the dickens out of her.

They have a FD cat that they say is doing well even thought they don't test. They love their vet and trust him and feed their FD the dry DM. I told them adamantly that any dry food would kill Nuzzles and they are going to put it on the counter where she can't reach it. I taught them and stressed the need for testing. I hope they follow through. They are very dependent on their vet's advice. At this time, I am not confident that they will come to this board for advice.

She is in a great home. She won't be a foster long - they will certainly adopt her and have the means to give her really great care and love. She deserves this in her final few years.

Despite all of this, I am a mess. I miss her so much! I can't stop crying. Usually she would be here pawing at my hands while I type and kissing my face as I try to see the screen. I am truly not good at this fostering stuff if I can't let them go even to a good home.

I admire you, I certainly couldn't do it, I had a stray for a month before we found her a home and I got attached. It was hard and i missed her for a long time.

I am sure they will do the best they can. You have your own fur babies to worry about now.

What ever happens about that stray you couldn't catch?
