Well after a long night, we are back at 424 this morning. He was not too bad most of the night as far as the way he acted but he did a lot and with the foods I gave him to bring him back up from a drop, we're back where we started.

I'm leaving here shortly, should we start back at 1? Its possible I may be home earlier before his evening dose, depending on how Dad is doing. My hubby will be home around 2

I think I would, you have so much going on, you dont want to have to be worrying
about Nudderbaby too.
I hope your Dad is ok, praying for him,
since this morning could be a bounce from all the food last night
I would play it safe today and take care of your Dad
Hang in there

Thank you Denise. I'm thinking about taking tomorrow off too so I can get an early start on his weekend.

Poor thing is worn out from being up all night.

Not a bad night for Nudderbaby but exhausting for you. You won't have to worry about him today. I hope things are better for your dad. We can figure out your kitty later.

Thank you everyone :) Dad is home! AND our BS is 225 tonight :-D

I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be shooting 1.0 with this number??

I really need some sleep @-)

To be honest Denise this is the lowest he's ever been, I hate to touch it ;-) but if I did I dont know
if I would go above .25. Again, I'm still new at this. I tried reading as much as possible today but
I was too pooped after a while.

I had hubby pull food at 2 pm today until I got home. Nudderbaby was bouncing around
the yard like a kitten and he let me poke him by hand without being wrapped in a towel
tonite.

As of now neither have eaten anything but they are hankering to go outside. We have a snow
storm moving in so I took the day off tomorrow. I figured that will give me 3 days to work
on curves with him and see if I can get a grip on all of this.

I haven't slept in 38 hours so I will be dead to the world tonite.

Damn..not a lot of data and you are still so new.....
I know you have to sleep tonight so If I were
you I think I would either go with .50 or .25
I do fear that .25 might be too much of a reduction
but even if it is, at least you know that the bounce from Sunday has probably cleared
now and hopefully you will start to see some good numbers...
and you know he will probably be a low dose baby ...anti jinX!!

I'd like to name him NoDose Nudderbaby..haha..not really laughing...that is the goal!

Let me ask you this so I have it clear in my mind going forward. Since I switched to the u100 syringes,
when I'm looking at the conversion chart when we talk doses, are we talking 1st column (u40 insulin) or 2nd (syringe)

To administer this amount
of U-40 insulin Draw to this level
in a U-100 syringe To administer this amount
of U-40 insulin Draw to this level
in a U-100 syringe
0.2 0.5 6.2 15.5
0.4 1.0 6.4 16.0
0.6 1.5 6.6 16.5
0.8
2.0

sorry I am not good at this computer thing
so when we say .50 unit we mean in the u40 column(1st column)
so on the u100 needle you would measure to 1 unit which would be .4...do you understand?

Hereis how I remember
PZI in almost all instances is a U40 insulin..so we are supposed to use U40s but they
are so hard to read, so we use the U100 and convert the dosage...
Does that help?

Yeah I understand what you're telling me and the concept of the spreadseet. It's confusing to say .50 is .4 because then I'm thinking I need to dose between .4 and .6 in order to get .5...LOL..smh.

I work in math every day I just dont want to screw this up again. Is it ok if I document .4 or will that confuse anyone who's looking at it for me. If so, I need to wrap my brain around it some more.

I'm not an idiot...really, I promise...

No wait...
If you are using the u100 needle, you have to measure to 1 unit
which is actually .4 of the u40 insulin

oh sorry, ok just want to make sure!
good luck tonight
hoping for a good amps and I hope you get some sleep tonight
oh and glad you Dad is home!

I popped in to a couple of spreadsheets to make sure I was consistent :)

Thank you Denise for your help tonight and to everyone else for all of the encouragement and
support, it really does mean a lot!

I will check him in a couple of hours before I go to bed.

Praying Tomorrow is going to be a good day!

i am thinking either a fur shot or too much of a reduction
If I were you I would go back to one unit and hold there for awhile and let him settle
back into that dose

Probably too far reduced. I always ck to make sure I didnt get a fur shot. He woke me up at 3:15 am so I was able to get another read.
