Just re-read the stickie on dealing with low numbers and knowing Loki, if I do not shoot will have another bounce. He seems to have a pattern of going low then if I skip he goes up bouncing. Just fed him because he was really begging and now now sure if I skip I know we will have another bounce, yet if I shoot not sure how much to shoot. He is on 1.75 as of 2 days ago which is a reduction for him from 2 units. He is fine all 5 P's are in place. It's me who is a wreck.

"knowing Loki" and "seems to have a pattern" is a direct result of the hard work you've done of dong a bit of testing and keeping track of it on Loki's SS-that's the importance of doing a bit of testing and your SS--which you are doing a fabulous job of!...I was a complete wreck as well  I'm sure I got the LL trophy for "biggest basket case"...breathe...please stay with it  I'm going to copy and past the URL for this post and put it into your other post ( "+10"). Once done, you can type the word "IGNORE" after the word "anymore" in this post...I hope I'm making sense; I'm doing so to keep both of your posts together so the information is contained in one post :-D

Hi. Just wanted to say...hang in there. This is a difficult dance we're doing and the kitties are leading. You have been treating Loki about seven months longer than I have been treating PurrFace and doing a great job. I have found that when everything seems to be going awry it's time to go back to the basics. Take a break and after you've gathered yourself take a look at the whole picture. Remember that if you find yourself focused on one number make sure it's the nadir. I've found that consistency works best. The first few times I had to deal with a number below 100 I was a nervous wreck but thanks to the excellent guidance I've received here it has become less stressful. High numbers were equally stressful. Once again advice received here got me through it.

I hope my ranting made some sense. What I'm saying is that you're not alone and we all know the feeling you are experienced. Just keep posting and asking questions. Remember to use the question mark icon in your subject line when you need advice. It'll alert folks to your question.

Again, hang in there. You're doing fine and Loki is lucky to have you for a bean.

Have a great night.

I remember that I was a bit nervous when Blackie showed me a lower # below 100, also. Hang in there, and just be consistent with the dose amounts, and the time to shoot. Lantus works best when it's consistently administered every 12 hours and at the same times, too. I've been doing this for over 3 years now, and I can honestly say that I know Blackie pretty well. However, there are times when she'll throw me a curve, like this week for instance. Keep it up. You WILL get there, and it does take a lot of time. Try not to be discouraged, ok? We've all been where you're at. :-D
