Could yall please take a look at Dagron's SS and let me know if it looks "normal" for just starting out? I'm doing another curve on him Sunday at the new dose, assuming the other glucometer gets here in time. If not, it will have to be next weekend. He just swings so much, it looks crazy to me. Thanks.

Any chance you can get mid cycle numbers whenever possible? If would give more helpful info if you knew how low he was going.

If you could get a curve done this weekend that info will tell how low the dose is taking him. Without a curve it's just impossible to tell with only PS numbers.

If you can't do mid-cycles during the daytime due to work, it's even more important that you do them on the PM cycle.....you should always get at least a "before bed" test on the PM cycle. Most cats go lower at night, and without testing, he could be going low overnight and then bouncing high by morning. Without some PM testing, there's no way to know.

You've also gone from 3 to 4 units.....we only increase dose in .25 unit increments....too much insulin can look like too little!!

If you could get the Pre-shots and at least one other test on the PM cycle, it may help tell us what's going on with him

Well unfortunately, I'm not able to do the curve tomorrow or the mid-cycle test today. I was hoping/expecting his new meter to come today, and it has not, and I don't have enough strips to use the old meter.

I can probably do a before bed test, but I can't wake up in the middle of the night to test him. I have a handful of mental illnesses that rely on me getting enough sleep in order to not make my life horrible. I did read through the "TR while working full time" thread; it just wouldn't work for me. I wake up at 6, leave the house at 7:15, get home around 18:35, and need to be in bed by 21:30. So I'll have to do a curve next Saturday, and I can probably do a mid-day test or two on Friday.

I went up in units at the recommendation of my vet. He wanted me to go up to 5u until I told him Dagron dropped so low the morning following the curve.
