Hi Roxie has always eaten good..a two months ago (Aug 16)we had mold removed from the house they did not replace the wall in bathroom and bedroom yet. We had to go to a hotel for a week with Roxie. Anyway the last few weeks she has been sneezing, watery eyes, very clingy. The past few days suddenly refuses her regular Fancy feast food, we have tried friskies she ate that a day or two, now refused it. She will eat lickables and lit soups, but even refused tuna( real tuna) and her crunky treats. I have to go replace food now any suggestions? We live in Montreal Quebec.

Hi there, sorry Roxie isnt feeling well :( . I am not experienced enough to give advice, but i will tell you what has worked for Landos particular appetite struggles.
I noticed the tell tale signs of nausea ( pica [licking plastic] ; taking food in his mouth and spitting out, vomiting liquid or bile after 6+ hours of not eating)
He used to eat fancy feast but stopped. I was able to land on DR Elseys dry and sheba pate ( but will circle back to fancy feast soon)
I tried cerenia, ondansetron, miritaz, and pepcid ac regular strength
Miritaz helped stimulate his appetite in the short run ; cerenia and ondan had a bit of movement for him; pepcid ac regular strength seems the most effective for lando so far.
I hope this gives you some leads to start asking questions and doing research!
Ps INABA CHURU is magic for my three cats, even at their worst they will eat that treat

Hi Roxie will much on paper if she really hungry, she does have diabetes and acid reflex. So we supposed to feed her small meals many times a day. They not fussy as to what just no dry food and pate only..I'm wondering if her throat is sore , and that's why she prefering liquid?

Yeah, i am just learning about all of this myself, so i could only guess. Hopefully some other members or your vet can help you piece this puzzle out!
FWIW when one of my cats have had an upper respiratory infection ( coughing, runny eyes, clogged nose) they will only eat the stinkiest of foods ( like lil soups) if they eat at all.

Thank you I'll get her a bunch of little soups and such and Pates. The stinker the better.
Well… like i said… PLEASE take the advice of your vet or more experienced members before you go down a path. I JUST joined the forum myself. Good luck to you and roxie

Hi she eating the mushy food and stews now. But no she has no history of anything but being overweight, diabetes and acid reflex

That is good she doesn't have a history of pancreatitis, it can flare up and cause nausea.

I am glad she is eating more. I found that once I started treating my cat food diabetes he became a picky eater, before that it was no problem getting him to eat.

I can relate to that , Roxie has become picky eater too. However I observed that she will want food like friskies when she more tired etc, and food like Fancy feast daily. She will eat only stews and lickables when Ill. I think she may have been affected by the mold too..doctor said I have signs of mold toxity myself.
