This is a new problem, because Bubba has always been a binger. It is time to shoot and he hasn't eaten but maybe a ounce. How little can they eat to safely shoot? It's time now.

There's good advice on spotting nausea symptoms on the nausea and inappetence page on Tanya's Site.

Also, is Bubba breathing OK? Try warming his food (you should be able to even nuke the kibble for 10 seconds or so) to increase the aroma.
okay, thanks! About 6:45pm EST he wanted to go outside and I just got him back in at 9.30 EST and he is finishing his dinner from 3 1/2 hours prior. He is eating like his Civvie cat how, grazing. It is something I am just not used to with him. He is like a hog with his food, eating fast and furious. Maybe his eating style is changing, yeah! or he is just not feeling well. I hope the previous rather than the latter.

The diabetes will most likely have made him very hungry. At cellular level unregulated cats are, in effect, starving because there's not enough insulin to allow the glucose into the cells to metabolize nutrients properly. Hopefully that's what might be going on with Bubba. Keep an eye out for nausea symptoms, though. Since I joined FDMB last year, I have seen a number of cats who seem to get nauseated after starting insulin treatment.
