Hi,My cat is diabetic and it has got to the point where I have exhausted all funds available to care for him.Another issue is he will not use the litter box full time anymore and I run the risk of being evicted from my apartment again.
So my choice's are euthanization or find him another home.
I posted here a couple of weeks ago with these same issue's and after thinking about it at that time I decided not to euthanize my cat.Things have not gone well since then and I dont have the money or time to care for him properly anymore.I dont have a choice it is either find him a new home locally or euthanize him.

Don't do anything until you hear from someone on this forum.
You did not highlight your post to draw attention to it, so I put a highlighted post to tell people to come read your post.
FD is treatable and please don't euthanize him just for that until you see if someone on here an offer a solution.

Hi thanks for your response.Euthanizing my cat would be the last thing I would want to do.I will wait to see if there is help out there. My cat doesn't have much of a normal cat life right now.Because of the litter box issues i have to keep him confined to one area.. which is very sad.I just don't have the resources to give my cat the proper care.I have explained my situation and my cats condition numerous times.I went broke caring for him after his initial diabetes diagnosis.

I did find and called a local cat outreach program this morning in my area.I will be going over there this thursday.Maybe they can help.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I am complaining about everthing when I post.I just feel really bad for my cat and his situation. Its very sad to watch him struggle.

I had posted on your previous thread that you can use Diabetic Cats In Need"s facebook page to help with finding a home. Post a photo, brief description and contact information and we can push that through our feed to people who network for diabetic/special needs kitties.

I'll post the link here too: https://www.facebook.com/notes/diab...betic-cats-that-need-rehoming/611244085572285

You may want to open a free yahoo or gmail account, something like "adoptNJdiabetic@....com" if you don't feel comfortable using your own email address.

Please contact Jersey State Animal Rescue and see if they can take your kitty! Tell them Penelope's mom, Robyn, referred you! If they take her, I have some U40 syringes and lancets and whatever Penny doesn't need I can donate. They may request an owner surrender feed since they are purely run on donations and will need to get her regulated, feed her and take her to the vet, etc. Ask for Linda or send them an email!
