I just had a baby who is now 12 weeks old (2 and a half months). Ever since he came home, our sugar kitty has been acting out. She has pooped out of her litter box in different areas of the house at least twice, which she has never done before ever, and she has also peed in various parts of the house, which she never did before unless she had a UTI. She doesn't have a UTI, it's not that kind of peeing.
We have really been trying to give her the attention that she wants, but it's very hard when we are dealing with a newborn. We really give her as much as we possibly can. We are getting to the point where we are considering re-homing her, which is a terrible option, as I have had her for 10 years, since she was a tiny kitten. Also, it would be hard to re-home a diabetic cat.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what we can do to remedy this situation? I can't bear the thought of not having her in my life, and something has to change!
