Northwest Pharm flixotide inhaler ?

My asthmatic cat is on the fluticasone/flixotide inhaler ordered from Northwest pharmacy (Canada). Does anyone else use this and know if there's a way to tell when the inhaler is empty? I know we've used it at least 120 times but it still seems to be dispensing. I have a new one that we've switched to, but I figured it would stop pumping when it was empty. Is that not the case?

I would throw it out after you've used the 120 doses. It could be that there's still propellant left inside the inhaler but the drug may have run out. So it looks like it's still working but it's not.

Vinnie is on the flixotide inhaler. It has been recommended to me to stop using it around dose 110 as the last few are weaker. Unfortunately there is no way to tell when you've used the doses. I printed out a sticker with numbers 1 through 110, attached it to the inhaler and I cross off a number everytime I give him a dose.

In the US we use the brand name Flovent.
Fluticasone is the corticosteroid inside.
They all have a countdown built into the inhaler to know how many doses are inside. I've never heard anything about the last few doses being less potent. I'm fairly sure that it would never be allowed to come to market if the last few doses are not as potent. If you go beyond the doses then they're probably not potent at all. It's leftover propellant.
Maybe the "flixotide" inhaler is different? I can't speak to its efficacy because it's not available in the US

There is definitely no countdown in the flitoxide from Canada - I've been using it for 3 years. I've never used the U.S. Flovent version and that's great if they do have a countdown - it would make life easier if there was one on the Flixotide! @Rubyslens you might want to check out the feline asthma group at this link, there is a wealth of information on feline asthma similar to this group's wealth of information on feline diabetes.
