My DCIN foster kitty Norman went to the vet last week, and most lab work came back good. He's still OTJ, but he does need a dental, which he will get next week. However, his urinary pH came back at 7.5, which indicates he is at risk for struvite crystals. The vet says the number doesn't worry her, but it worries me. I now have Norman on Nature's Variety raw food, cut about 50/50 with water, and his urine output is up, which is good. Is there some supplement I should be adding to his food to reduce his urinary pH? Is there a Yahoo or other group I should join so that I can learn appropriate crystal-preventative measures?
