My youngest, Hot Rod, is acting fine, has not hurt himself and runs like crazy still but his front ankle is clicking. Sadly at the moment due to the severe aggression in my house at the flip of a switch I dont plan on taking him to the vet since he seems "fine".
A little history:
Hot Rod was a stray, found at my husbands car lot running through the parking lot. He was about 4 weeks old with a massive infection on his head from being bit by something. The weight of his head made him look like a "hot rod" and found on a car lot....the name fit lol. About 6 months later I came home from work to him crying. I thought it was about food since I was late from work (already about 9 pm) turn around to feed him and see he's holding his paw. He was in pain and shaking. After he ate some he calmed a bit but you could tell he was in pain and not happy. I planned on taking him to the vet in the morning but woke up at 3 am to him running around like crazy and perfectly fine....very confusing. So I went to work, scheduled an appointment for the afternoon so I didnt have to miss work. When I took him in the vet didnt see anything wrong so the conclusion was he might of bruised it on something. This was about 2 1/2 years ago.
This past week, every so often his ankle will click when he walks. His front paws are declawed so I know its not long nails, he doesnt seem in pain, his activity level is the same......Im thinking maybe like human bones cracking....cracking knuckles, knees, those things although he isnt old.
Would there be a supplement that could help? Anyone have experience with this?
