Hi all!

Reece’s PMPS numbers have been too low to shoot for 3 nights in a row (108, 124, 110) . Her AMPS numbers have been about identical (mid-200ish) to mornings after she HAS had PM shots. I’m not sure what to do. Is it bad to skip doses? Should I be giving her a token dose PM? Should I decrease her AM dose?

I am home from work this week, but have company visiting. I could try to do a curve or do a little more mid-day testing, if you think that would be beneficial. I have gotten a couple PM +1s to see how fast numbers rose after eating (without insulin), and they didn’t go up very fast.

Would love to hear suggestions on what you think I should do with her dosing.

Thanks!

Yes, more testing is very helpful....the Pre-shot numbers only tell you if it's safe to give insulin at all, but we also need to know how low the dose is taking them.

If you keep getting Pre-shots too low to shoot, it might help to reduce the dose a bit
