Hurricane Earl may or may not hit Massachusetts and we are being warned constantly. If my electricity goes out and the fridge can't keep the insulin cold - what are the alternatives for storage?

Ice pack and a cooler. Just separate the ice packs from the insulin to prevent freezing of the insulin. Minimize opening the cooler.
Taking care of diabetic cats without power is "fun". Yesterday I lost power for about three hours right before feeding/measuring/shooting. After having this happen twice before this summer I not have a little headband light that makes it a lot easier.
