My gorgeous Nino crossed over on sunday.

The diabetes and Ckd finally took over . He was gasping for air all night. I got him to the Vet and his temp was 9o... my lovely vet who had been working with me through so many crashes and emergencies said its time...

I knew. I spent the whole night comforting him. He was hanging on so intensely, but I knew how much he was suffering. I am so grateful that I was able to put him down peacefully in my arms.

Thank you to all who have helped me through his scary hypo events and all the amazing advise here!

Perhaps now I can travel again... I got so used to the schedule of dosing and testing... I don't know what to do now?

One thing is for sure I wont feed my other cat crap food.

Thank you everyone here ... you are truly an amazing group!

Beauregard crossed over today (but his spirit is laying beside me). My first thought was that I can sleep again, and it's selfish, but I found with caregiving for my Mom, your body just finally breaks down and it's a relief. You are sad and life will never be the same without them, but you cannot continue with the stress and worry and lack of sleep and did I say "stress". I am so sorry Nino could not rally/be saved, but I believe everything is for a reason, and it's not up to us to ask/question, but accept. Healing rainbows for you. And Nino thanks you, I'm sure

So sorry to hear Nino had to cross the bridge. Nino is now free of pain and the love between you will exist forever in that special place in your heart.
